Last year, I turned 50, and marked the occasion by climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. That was fun! It was a big, multi-day hike, never walking/hiking more than 6 miles in a day.
But a Half-marathon? NO WAY!

Until now, I guess. My trainer has been asking me what my next challenge would be. Well, Molly, here we go again!

Crazy? Yes. SMART goal? Yes. What the heck is a SMART goal? It is:

Specific
Measurable
Achievable
Realistic
Time-based

For all you busy women out there putting yourselves at the very bottom of your to-do list, this is an example (i.e. not something I think everyone should do, same goes for climbing mountains) of a SMART health goal that does a few things:
1. It stretches me (way) out of my comfort zone
2. It’ll keep me exercising with some kind of plan, commitment, and regularity
3. It’ll help me focus on my own health and fitness amidst my family, home and business activities which could push me down on my own to-do list (and then I would not be practicing what I preach).

So… who wants to join me?!?
